Legia defeated Danish Brondby in two matches (3:2, 1:1) and advanced to the 4th round of qualifications for the Conference League, where they will face Drita Gnjilane. The team from Kosovo eliminated Auda Kekava (0:1, 3:1 after extra time) earlier in the competition.
Drita, three-time champion of Kosovo (last title in the 2019/2020 season), won 3rd place in the league last season, with 67 points (19 wins, 10 draws, 7 losses) and 11 “points” behind the first FC Ballkani. In the 2nd phase of the qualifications for the LK, they defeated Breidablik (2:1, 1:0). Legia played with this team in September 2020, in the 3rd round of the Europa League qualifiers. At that time, only one match was played, in which the “Army” won at home 2:0 after goals by current players of the capital team, i.e. Paweł Wszołek and Tomas Pekhart.

Teams taking part in the European Cup qualifiers will receive a fixed sum for each round played (EUR 175,000 for one) and a fixed amount after qualification (the later the stage, the more money):

- Elimination in the 3rd round of eliminations – 550,000 euros
- Elimination in the 4th round of eliminations – 750,000 euros
Last season, the Warsaw team won the 14th bronze medal of the Polish Championship in history and became the last representative of Poland – after Jagiellonia Białystok, Śląsk Wrocław and Wisła Kraków – in the qualifications for the European cups. Legia was seeded in all rounds of the Conference League qualifiers.
