“The lack of investment and good strategic planning for the distribution of drinking water has had a direct impact on the supply and, therefore, on the lives of the people of Mexico,” for this reason the candidate for governor of the State of Mexico for MORENA, PT and PVEM, Delfina Gómez Álvares considered that good coordination between the municipalities, Mexico City and the Federation was necessary.

In the same way, he proposed to implement the largest program in the history of the entity to rehabilitate and reorganize the water distribution networks, in order to solve the serious problem of liquid scarcity.

During her campaign tour through the different municipalities of the Mexican entity, teacher Delfina Gómez assured that each of the strategies she proposes are part of the “People’s Proposals for Change”, which she has said were integrated with the messages that the citizens sent him during the pre-campaign.

“Since 2020 there have been a series of reductions in the water supply throughout the State of Mexico. Only in August 2022 was it reported that the 400 liters of water per second received by the Mexico State Water Commission (CAEM) would be reduced, affecting the inhabitants of at least 13 metropolitan municipalities, ”he said.

It is worth mentioning that during her tour of the municipality of Ecatepec where this problem is experienced, the Morenista candidate Delfina Gómez asserted that the shortage of the vital liquid is a central and priority issue, which requires a lot of work and commitment, but above all political will for your solution.

“The state government’s lack of interest in universalizing access to this resource has given way to shortages and inequality, mainly affecting those who have less,” he explained.

Finally, teacher Delfina Gómez, candidate for governor of the State of Mexico for MORENA, PT and PVEM, added that drinking water coverage is a fundamental human right for life and to reduce the inequality gap.

“This is the prerequisite for achieving other rights such as food, education and health. Have water in sufficient quantity and quality, which allows the population to develop in an integral way ”, he concluded.
