The National Book Foundation has not indicated whether a replacement has been chosen.

The Drew Barrymore Show host defended her decision to return to the talk show in an Instagram post on Sunday. “I accept this choice. We agree not to discuss or promote films and TV shows of any kind, the star wrote. I want to be there to provide what screenwriters do so well, which is a way to bring us together or help us make sense of the human experience. I hope a solution for everyone is found as quickly as possible. We’ve been through some tough times since we first appeared on screens. And so I take a step forward to start season 4 once more with humility. »

Strikers demonstrated outside the CBS Broadcast Center in New York, where the show is filmed, when taping resumed Monday. The Drew Barrymore Show will return to the air starting September 18.
