Drew Barrymore told her show co-host Ross Matthews how she was tricked by a scammer on a dating app.
The actress and talk show queen said she was thrilled when a professional athlete messaged her on her online dating profile. “This guy on my dating app said he was the quarterback of the Los Angeles Rams,” Drew Barrymore revealed, adding that she then sent the man an enthusiastic response.
“I wrote to him and said, ‘Oh my God, I went to the first practice game and I was so frustrated being a girl from Los Angeles who loves soccer and didn’t no team, then I moved to New York and we had two teams. It’s nice to meet you, my name is Drew,'” she continued.
Unfortunately, Drew Barrymore’s football fantasies were cut short soon following, when the man told her he lied regarding his job to get her attention – and was actually a struggling musician. “He’s a musician who thought he was cute,” she explained.
She added that it was only when the man called her “Drewski,” somewhat mockingly, that she completely turned on him. Drew Barrymore concluded with a scathing message to the camera, aimed directly at the liar in question.
“I hate you,” she said. “You made me feel stupid.” I don’t know who you are – I feel so stupid! Why did we have to leave on a lie – I hate you! »
