12 years ago, DreamWorks launched Dragons, an animated film that will see two sequels, Dragons 2 in 2014 and Dragons 3: The Hidden World in 2019. This trilogy allowed the studio to establish a true franchise to success which will then be derived in an animated series in synthetic image equally appreciated by young audiences: Dragons: Beyond the shores.
This production which will last six years for a total of 118 episodes might have marked the final chapter of the story, but it was without counting on DreamWorks Dragons: Legends of the Nine Kingdoms !
Hurry up, The Thunder Family and the Dragon Kingdoms need you!
Before that, let’s take a few moments to tell you regarding the anime series. Airing since December 2021 on the Hulu and Peacock platforms, Dragons: Legends of the Nine Kingdoms, which takes place 1,300 years following the events of the film Dragons 3: The Hidden World, follows a group of marginalized children of society who are driven by their parents in front of a huge crack caused by a comet. Intrigued, our budding adventurers rush in and discover the truth regarding the dragons as well as the place where they hide.
Offering an original story following these events, the video game DreamWorks Dragons: Legends of the Nine Kingdoms presented Thursday during the OG Unwrapped 2022 event invites you to go save the family of Thunder, a young dragon who will also have the difficult task of saving the dragon kingdoms by bringing peace to the interconnected kingdoms of ice, fire, darkness and beyond.
