The Emirati star, Ahlam, surprised her followers via her Twitter account, with a sharp comment on a rumor that circulated during the past few hours, regarding an artist donating two million dollars to the victims of the devastating earthquake that struck Syria and Turkey and claimed tens of thousands of lives.
In the details, one of the accounts on “Twitter” published a tweet saying: “In a Lebanese singer who donated $ 2 million of her wealth to Syria, and she did not declare the issue #Syria_earthquake.”
Ahlam responded, through her official account, by saying: “By God, God willing, for hypocrisy, she donated 2 million dollars, and she did not say, and you, how did you know?! To whom did you donate, how and when?
And she added: “Please, don’t make a mockery and laugh at the chins, only talk and hypocrisy regarding people who were shaken and defeated by the earthquake ?! My Lord protects our rulers from all evil. They did not fall short from the first, nor will they fall short from the next.”
Najwa Karam tops the trend
The Lebanese singer Najwa Karam topped the list of the most circulated on Twitter, following circulating tweets stating that she had donated two million US dollars to the victims of the earthquake in Syria.
And a wide segment of the tweeters spread the news that Karam provided the large amount without announcing her move, while the “Sun of the Lebanese Song” remained silent and did not comment on or share the circulating posts.
Ahlam republished a tweet saying: “Everything that is said regarding the $2 million amount and the Lebanese artist, and the name # Najwa_Karam specifically, is absolutely incorrect.
Ahlam commented on the tweet: “Thank you for the clarification, God, who is next. I want to know who donated his #feeds #how, by God, I will not abandon them. It is not important to me, except that playing on the pain of the world is slaughtering me, and we have finished.
It is noteworthy that many Arab and foreign art stars were keen to provide support and assistance to the victims of the earthquake that struck Syria and Turkey a few days ago, which killed more than 21,000 people, and its effects extended to millions of residents in the two countries. According to the latest data, the number of infected people has risen to more than 74,000.
