There is a preference of people for more concrete options, in which they can understand and see clearly. The dream of owning a home illustrates this. So much so that there has been an observed growth in the proportion of people who claim to invest in order to travel or have leisure time.

See the complete list of where money goes when people think regarding investing. The data are according to the 2022 Brazilian Investor X-Ray survey:
- Buying a property/own house – 30%
- Keep Applied – 21%
- Buying a car/bike/truck – 11%
- Invest in your own business – 10%
- Use in old age/retirement – 10%
- Going on trips/leisure activity – 11%
- Education – 8%
- Don’t know – 5%
- Leave it to the children – 6%
- Build/renovate home – 4%
- Pay the Bills – 2%
- Invest in health – 2$a%
- Make a profit – 2%
The survey also separated responses by income class. The dream of owning a home was the priority for 31% of respondents belonging to classes C, D and E and for 28% in the highest income classes, A and B.
