These opposition leaders demand the following:
- The consensual designation of the leaders of the CENI bodies;
- The revision of the electoral law;
- The recomposition of the Constitutional Court;
- The end of the instrumentalization of political, judicial and fiscal institutions once morest presidential candidates;
- An end to arbitrary arrests of politicians, journalists, civil society activists – and the release of all political prisoners;
- The end of the killings in Grand Kivu, Ituri, Grand Katanga, Grand Bandundu and east of Kinshasa;
- The urgent conduct of an external audit of the ongoing identification and enrollment operations with a view to producing an integrated electoral register reflecting the demographic realities of each electoral district;
- The presence of national and international observers throughout the electoral process.
