The High Military Court of the DRC – Democratic Republic of Congo – delivered its verdict, Thursday, December 5, 2024, in Kinshasa, in the trial opposing the public prosecutor to the 26 members of the politico-military movement AFC – Alliance Fleuve Congo -, a rebellion belonging to Corneille Nangaa, former president of the CENI -Independent National Electoral Commission-.
The verdict handed down in the evening sentenced five accused to death, including Samafu Makinu Nicaise, M’Kangya Nyamatshaba Microbe, Nangaa Baseyane Ruttens, Safari Bishori Luc, Nkuba Shebandu Eric (alias Malembe). According to the sentence handed down, all these people tried are guilty of treason and participation in insurrectional movements.
Furthermore, for the 21 other co-accused, including Corneille Nangaa, founding president of the AFC, the High Military Court opted for a stay of the appeal procedure, in accordance with article 94 of the DR-Congolese military penal code. Clearly, they are keenly sought by Congolese justice.
“We will ensure that the death sentence is carried out against the five convicts present in Kinshasa. We will also issue international arrest warrants against Corneille Nangaa and his accomplices,” declared the Minister of State for Justice, Constant Mutamba, determined to enforce the verdict.

– What inspired Aileen to conduct a coding interview with GPT-3?
## Interview with Aileen from “A Coding Interview with GPT-3”
**News Editor:** Aileen, your blog post about conducting a coding interview with GPT-3 garnered a lot of attention. Can you tell us a bit about what inspired you to undertake this experiment?
**Aileen:** I was fascinated by the capabilities of large language models like GPT-3 and wanted to explore its understanding of code. I thought, what better way to test its coding prowess than to simulate a real-world interview scenario?
**News Editor:** And what were your initial impressions of GPT-3’s performance?
**Aileen:** [[1](https://marcofoco.com/blog/2022/06/13/a-coding-interview-with-gpt-3/)]To be honest, I was surprised by its ability to generate seemingly coherent and even correct code snippets. However, it wasn’t perfect. It struggled with more complex problems and sometimes produced code that was syntactically correct but logically flawed.
**News Editor:** Did you find any particular strengths or weaknesses in GPT-3’s coding abilities?
**Aileen:** GPT-3 seemed to excel at understanding basic programming concepts and generating simple algorithms. Its weakness lay in tackling more nuanced problems that required in-depth knowledge of data structures and intricate logic.
**News Editor:** What do you see as the potential implications of these large language models in the field of software development?
**Aileen:** I believe GPT-3 and its successors have the potential to significantly impact software development. They could serve as powerful tools for code generation, bug detection, and even code documentation. However, it’s important to remember that they are still tools that need human guidance and oversight. They are not replacements for skilled programmers.
