Draymond Green reacts to Rudy Gobert’s transfer to Minnesota

In his podcast, Draymond Green referred to the significant trades of recent days, starting with that of Rudy Gobert – to whom he did not send a spade, well – to Wolves:

“The one that really shocked everyone I think was Rudy Gobert in Minnesota once morest Malik Beasley, Patrick Beverley, Jarred Vanderbilt, Leandro Bolmaro and Walker Kessler. Ok fine, cool. But it doesn’t stop there, with also 4 first draft rounds, and 1 or 2 swap picks. All those draft picks Utah got is really what swayed the trade I think. Four first draft rounds, it’s completely crazy! Now what is this trade telling me? And I know Karl-Anthony Towns signed a $224 million extension, but what this trade tells me is that Minnesota thinks they’ve got a superstar in Anthony Edwards. Before in the NBA to win titles you had to have a great back and a great interior. So this trade tells me they believe in Anthony Edwards to carry the torch. Not that KAT isn’t important in what they do, it is, but when you’re trading all of that in one deal, that means you’re in ‘win now’ mode. Because they are convinced that Anthony Edwards is a superstar. In fact, I think that’s the case.

And D’Angelo Russell was benched in the playoffs for defensive reasons. They cover that today with the protection of the circle brought by Rudy Gobert. This will allow D’Angelo to do what he does best: attack. You now have someone who will erase mistakes made in defense. In the series once morest Memphis, Ja dominated near the circle, and they struggled to rebound once morest Jaren Jackson. And behind they correct the problem by bringing in Rudy Gobert. So I thought it was a very interesting move for Minnesota.

The other side of the coin is that you have 450 million dollars invested in position 5, which can cause depth problems on the side. They’re waiting for McDaniels to step up I think, they’ve also re-signed Taurean Prince. We’ll see what happens, I’m very interested in playing once morest these guys. »
