Peter Michorl left LASK after last season as a crowd favourite, but at his new club Atromitos Athens the 29-year-old immediately won the hearts of the fans in his competitive debut: At the start of the Greek league he played a major role in his club picking up a point with a 1-1 draw after being 0-1 down.
Substituted in the 56th minute, he got in the way of goalkeeper Julian Cuesta when a high ball was played into the penalty area. The Aris captain missed the ball and rammed into Michorl. Amr Warda converted the penalty to make it 1:1 (74th minute). As a fouled player, the Viennese scored the first assist.
