(Hanoi = Yonhap News) Correspondent Kim Bum-soo = The Korean drama ‘Little Women’ was suspended because it contained false information regarding the Vietnam War.

According to local media VN Express on the 7th, Vietnamese Netflix announced the day before that it had decided to exclude the drama from the airing list.

This was at the request of Vietnamese authorities, Netflix explained.

The Broadcasting Information Commission under the Ministry of Information and Communication of Vietnam requested Netflix to stop the airing, saying that the characters in the 3rd and 8th dramas were telling the wrong story regarding the Vietnam War.

As a result, Netflix excluded this drama from the airing list from 3 pm the previous day.

Little Women is a 12-episode work regarding three sisters who grew up in a poor family and fight once morest the richest and most powerful family in Korea.

Netflix has been airing this drama in Vietnam since last month.

Previously, Netflix stopped its service in Vietnam in July of last year when Gudanseon appeared in the Australian-produced spy ‘Pine Gap’ drama.

China claims 90% of its territorial waters by drawing nine U-shaped lines in the South China Sea (South Sea Gudan Line).

Because of this, territorial disputes with neighboring countries such as Vietnam, the Philippines and Brunei continue.
