Drainage channel puts families at risk in Isla Dorada (+ video)

They call on the corresponding entities to take action on the matter as soon as possible.

With the rainy season just beginning, Gustavos Ramírez, president of the board of directors of the Isla Dorada urbanization in Puerto Ordaz, stated that a backhoe is needed to remove the residue of branches and leaves from a drainage channel that is putting several families at risk.

“If the water continues to rise due to the level of rain, it can knock down the perimeter wall of the urban planning that covers blocks one, two, six, eight and eleven; the water can also flow into urban development and damage the houses that are close to that drainage channel, ”he said.

Ramírez assured that he sent a video to the mayor of the Caroní municipality, Tito Oviedo, regarding the problem that the sector is suffering.

He reiterated the call to government entities to take action on the matter as soon as possible.

the gully

Urbanism is experiencing another problem and that is that the gully found there has been giving way little by little due to the rains and has been getting worse.

“It is only a matter of time before vehicular passage is completely closed in this sector of Atlántico Avenue,” Ramírez warned.

This situation has been denounced for more than a year by the residents of the place and so far they have not received a response.
