Draft 2022 | Christian Braun leaves Kansas for the NBA

Decisive in the NCAA final once morest North Carolina, Christian Braun will not finish his course in Kansas since he chose to register in the Draft. Named to the All-Big 12 Second Team with his 14.1 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.8 assists average for his “junior” year, Braun had signed a “double-double” during Kansas’ victory at New Orleans, and his name circulates to be selected in the first round.

“It’s tough to follow up following a season where we’ve won everything, but I’m excited to explore my options and enjoy that process.” Braun said. “I’ve worked my whole life to show the NBA who I am and what I am, so I’m going to keep laying low and working towards my dream of playing in the NBA…”

A small winger (1m98), Braun shines with his versatility in attack and defense, and that’s what NBA scouts like. He is a “glue-guy”, very good without the ball, and physically strong, both athletically and in terms of endurance. We saw it in the second half once morest North Carolina.

“This year in Kansas mightn’t have gone better,” continued Braun. “Winning the national title was our goal from day one and I showed the NBA that I might impact games on both sides of the ball and in many different ways. Whether it’s putting my shots when I’m unmarked, scoring in transition or defending once morest the best opposing player, my primary objective is to meet all the challenges that come my way to help our team. »
