Dr. Sarahí Rodríguez Pérez is the new director of this program at the Universidad Central del Caribe.

The Central University of the Caribbean (UCC), today announced the appointment of Dr. Sarahí Rodríguez Pérez as the new director of the Residency Program for Internal Medicine of said educational center.
“Dr. Rodríguez is a leading American Board of Internal Medicine-certified internist with more than 15 years of experience in the field of health. Among the many important functions that he has held in the United States and Puerto Rico, is the direction of the operations of the internal Medicine and hospitalized patients at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine,” reported the president of the UCCWaleska Crespo Rivera.
Rodríguez, who is multilingual and has worked in seven hospitals in Florida, Washington and Arkansas, was also an assistant professor in the Program of Internal Medicine from the University of Miami. Since her recent return to the island, the specialist has a medical practice at the Pavía Hospital in Santurce.
“We are very pleased that you have returned to our country and want to fully join the training of our future internists. We are sure that your experience will contribute to strengthening our residency program and provide the necessary resources to our students leading to a specialization in excellence”.
Dr. Rodríguez stated, for her part, that “this appointment is a true honor. I accept this challenge with great humility and a firm commitment to patient service and medical education with the highest quality standards.”
