After disagreements over prices, popular Dr. Oetker products from the supermarket shelves. Frozen pizzas as well as baking ingredients are affected.
Neckarslum – The Dr. brand Oetker has become an integral part of supermarket shelves. No matter whether it’s baking ingredients, frozen pizza or muesli. And the Germans love the products: in 2022, according to the annual report, the company generated sales of 1.38 billion euros in Germany. However, the goods will soon no longer be found in a well-known discount store.
Kaufland takes Dr. Oetker products from sale
As the Food newspaper reports, in the future many Dr. Oetker products are no longer on the shelves at Kaufland. There are already fewer and fewer products to be found. A spokesman for the company also confirmed this IPPEN.MEDIA: “Kaufland currently carries a limited range of our products.” It goes on to say: “We generally do not comment on the details of our trading relationships, but we ask for your understanding.” Kaufland is part of the Schwarz Group, to which Lidl also belongs.

Frozen pizza and baking items: Which products are affected by the range change
Those affected by the deletion are loud Focus Online some foods that customers like to put in their shopping cart: baked goods, some baking ingredients and, above all, the popular frozen pizzas will soon no longer be available at Kaufland. After all, not all of Dr. Oetker range disappears: the muesli and pudding powder are still available for purchase.
According to the information on the portal, the change in the range also affects a subsidiary of Dr. Oetker, Coppenrath & Wiese. They are known for their frozen baked goods such as cakes, tarts and rolls. Items are already being offered at reduced prices: For example, the baked rolls from Coppenrath & Wiese “Our Gold Pieces” can currently be bought for 1.79 euros, 50 cents below the usual retail price.
What is behind the Dr. Oetker withdrawal from Kaufland?
The background to the change is apparently a previous disagreement regarding the price structure between Oetker and Kaufland. After there were supposed to be price increases in 2023, Kaufland demanded a price reduction from Dr. Oetker goods. However, the conflict not only affects Kaufland customers in Germany, but also all other markets around the world. These are Poland, Czech Republic, Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova and Croatia.
According to information from Focus Online the company Coppenrath & Wiese fully meets its delivery obligations. Kaufland itself decides which products to display. (jh)
