The Head of Service Internal Medicine of the Clinical Hospital of Valencia, María José Forner Ginerhas entered as a corresponding academic in the Royal Academy of Medicine and Related Sciences of the Valencian Community.
For his entrance ceremony, Forner gave the presentation ‘The systemic lupus erythematosus in the woman of the 21st century’.
Doctor of Medicine, and specialist in Internal Medicine, her main field of work has revolved around autoimmune diseases.
She is a researcher in the Study Group of Cardiometabolic and Renal Risk of the Incliva Health Research Institutedepending on the Clinic and the Faculty of Medicine University of Valencia. In this area he has recently presented, together with Raquel Cortésthe autoimmune disease systemic lupus erythematosus study project.
Forner is first vice president of the Society of Internal Medicine of the Valencian Community (Smicv)and is an active member of the Spanish Society of Internal Medicine (SEMI)as was evident at the National Congress of this scientific society in 2016, held in Valencia, and of which she was part of the organizing committee.
