The Valencian Federation of Associations of Parents of Patients with Alzheimer’s (FVAFA), he acknowledged Dr Juan Antonio AvellanaCoordinator of the Geriatrics Unit and the Cognitive Disorders and Dementia Unit from the University Hospital of La Riberaon the occasion of his work with patients suffering from this disease.
The prize was presented to him by the President of the FVAFAMaría Olmos, during an event organized at the Ministry of Health, on the occasion of the celebration of World Alzheimer’s Day. The Regional Secretary of the Valencian Health Agency (AVS), Nela García, and the General Director of Evaluation, Quality and Patient Care, Ignacio Ferrer, also recognized the work carried out in this area by the Foundation People for People for People for People.
Dr. Avellana holds a mastery in aging and health, is also medical doctor of the University of Valencia and Associate Professor geriatrics at the Catholic University of Valencia. At the same time, he was President of the Valencian Society of Geriatrics and the Spanish Society of Geriatric Medicine, without forgetting his work of searcher.
