Through a statement the Medical Sciences Campus of the University of Puerto Rico reported the appointment of Dr. Débora H. Silva Díaz as new interim dean from the School of Medicine of Medical Sciences Campus.
On Monday, October 16, Dr. Dharma Vázquez Torres, PhD, MHSA, interim rector of the Medical Sciences Campus announced the new designation to the entire university community.
Dr. Débora H. Silva Díaz has served as a professor in the Department of Pediatrics and her profile had recently been evaluated to appoint the interim rector of the Medical Sciences Campus (RCM) before the dismissal of Dr. Ilka Ríos.
He Medical Sciences Campus reported that Dr. Silva holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from the RCM School of Medicine and a Master of Education with a concentration in Medical Education from the University of Cincinnati.
She also has a specialty in Pediatrics and a subspecialty in Hospital Pediatrics, being certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in both areas.
