DR Congo: the crisis in North Kivu complicates voter registration

In the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the presidential and legislative elections are scheduled for December 20, 2023. Congolese abroad will take part in the ballot for the first time. However, on the spot, many of them do not believe it. In North Kivu, a territory partly under the control of the M23 rebels, residents remain excluded from registration operations on electoral lists.
