DR Congo: clashes in North Kivu despite the ceasefire

In DR Congo the ceasefire came into effect on Friday in North Kivu. According to the final document signed in Luanda, there was to be “a cessation of hostilities, in particular M23 attacks once morest the Congolese Armed Forces and Monusco”. The M23 is supposed to begin its withdrawal from the occupied areas. But on the ground, clashes were reported in the morning in Rutshuru territory. Local sources spoke of heavy weapon fire in the area.
