Dr. Boileau’s last press briefing on the pandemic took place on May 11.
The national director of public health then announced that public health was reducing the frequency of its press briefings, which until then had been weekly, due to the improvement in the epidemiological situation in the province.
The last health measure that was still in place was lifted on June 18 with the end of the wearing of compulsory masks in transport.
Quebec recorded, on Tuesday, an increase of 113 hospitalizations linked to COVID-19 and five deaths.
Europe is currently plunged back into a seventh wave of COVID-19 with a rebound in cases in several countries.
This increase would be due in particular to the relaxation of sanitary measures and a drop in immunity once morest viruses.
