“We went from barely 1% to 7%. It’s going to go up in the holiday season. There are going to be a lot of them,” warned Dr Boileau on Tuesday on Noovo Info.
Influenza, H1N1, Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), COVID-19, etc. A lot of viruses are circulating, mentioned the national director of public health. “And they are not the only ones,” he added.
With the rise of viruses, Dr. Boileau says he is more worried regarding the elderly and recommends that people at higher risk get doses of the influenza and COVID-19 vaccine.
A few days before the holiday season, Dr. Boileau asks the population to continue basic measures, namely to avoid contact if you are infected and to wear a mask when you are in a public place with symptoms.
