Chairman of the DPR RI Plenary Meeting, Sufmi Dasco confirmed this after asking the meeting participants.
“The Indonesian House of Representatives approved the application, application and consideration of citizenship on behalf of Kevin Diks, Noa Leatomu and Estella Loupatty. Can it be approved?
“Agree!” answered the meeting participants simultaneously.
Previously, the Indonesian Minister of Youth and Sports, Dito Ariotedjo, explained the government’s reasons for facilitating the naturalization of Kevin Diks, Noa Leatomu and Estella Loupatty. According to Dito, the three players of Dutch descent have high quality to defend the Red and White team.
“The Indonesian national team needs players in the positions of center back and left back with a versatile playing style for the 2026 World Cup Qualifications, 2027 Asian Cup and the target of being in the top 100 in the FIFA rankings,” said Dito.
PSSI Secretary General Yunus Nusi said a similar thing. Furthermore, he wants the naturalization process to be completed quickly because the three players are dealing with the important agenda of the Indonesian National Team.
“We were able to hold off Australia and Saudi Arabia, which previously were difficult for us to hold back. We apologize, sometimes in injury time we can only reach an agreement with the players because we have to build communication and commitment. We really want them to be able to contribute to our national team,” said Jonah.
In this case, Kevin Diks is projected to defend the Indonesian men’s national team for the 2026 World Cup Qualification. Meanwhile, Noa and Estella are expected to wear the Garuda squad uniform for the 2024 AFF Women’s Cup.
Yunus emphasized that Kevin Diks would try to strengthen the Indonesian national team this month. The match in question is the sixth matchday of the third phase of the 2026 World Cup Qualification against Saudi Arabia.

You might think, “What’s the big deal?” Well, when you’re trying to bolster your national team, snatching up talent faster than a kid at a candy store on Halloween seems to be the new trend!
During a recent plenary meeting, Sufmi Dasco, the Chairman of the DPR RI, confirmed the news with the enthusiasm of a contestant on a talent show. “Can we approve this?” he asked, and the assembly responded in a chorus of “Agree!” It’s like a political version of “American Idol,” but instead of melodious voices, we have naturalized players! And I must say, if politics was truly like a talent show, we’d see a whole different level of drama.
Let’s take a moment to appreciate the artistry involved in this decision. These players are like the new espresso shots that can revitalize Indonesia’s chances on the international football scene. The Indonesian Minister of Youth and Sports, Dito Ariotedjo, noted that the trio, all of whom have Dutch roots, possess the kind of quality that can help the Red and White team flourish. It’s as if they’ve just uncovered the secret ingredient for their national team recipe!
Now, Dito mentioned that the national team is on the lookout for talent in critical positions like center back and left back. They’re hoping these newly acquired players can turn the team into a formidable challenge at major upcoming tournaments. It sounds serious, doesn’t it? It’s basically like saying, “I’m building a championship team, and I need some heavyweights!” Don’t get me wrong; I’m a fan of teamwork, but this sounds like a bit of a FIFA version of “The Bachelor” — choose carefully!
Meanwhile, PSSI Secretary General Yunus Nusi echoed these sentiments, stating how crucial it is to fast-track this naturalization process. He’s essentially waving a neon sign saying, “We need these players NOW!” It feels as if they’re preparing a top-secret recipe, but instead of a pinch of salt, they need a splash of international talent to spice things up.
Picture this: Kevin Diks stepping onto the pitch for the Indonesian men’s national team in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers, while Noa and Estella don the Garuda squad uniforms for the 2024 AFF Women’s Cup. It’s like a cinematic moment waiting to unfold, and I can already imagine the euphoric cheers echoing through stadiums across Indonesia!
But hold on to your scarves, folks! Yunus dropped a fascinating tidbit: they managed to hold off powerhouses like Australia and Saudi Arabia! Now, if that’s not a plot twist worthy of a sports drama, I don’t know what is! An injury-time agreement sounds about right, doesn’t it? It’s a little like fixing your ex’s problems at a wedding between two mutual friends; you’re not really sure how it happened, but the results can be spectacular!
As the clock ticks closer to the crucial match against Saudi Arabia, one can only hope that this naturalization process comes together seamlessly, like that one magical moment in a movie where everything aligns just perfectly. After all, in the exhilarating world of sports, it’s not just about the talent you have but how quickly you can assemble it into a squad ready to take on the world!
So there you have it, folks! As Indonesia gears up to inject some new blood into its football scene, we sit back, popcorn in hand, waiting to see just how this wild ride unfolds. Will they triumph or stumble? Only time will tell! But one thing’s for sure: the excitement is palpable!
