Download wallpapers with schematics for MacBooks Pro (M2)

Last year, the immensely talented designer known as Basic Apple Guy released a series of wallpapers inspired by the internal schemes of the entire iPhone 14 line. Now, he has taken his creativity a step further and carried out similar work with the MacBooks Pro com chip M2 — a project that, according to him, took a considerable amount of time to complete.

For those who don’t know, the designer’s “schematic” wallpapers are not merely images (like the ones iFixit usually releases) but vector design constructions that try to meticulously reproduce the arrangement and exact quantity of the pieces that would be “visible” on the logic board of the devices.

For this year’s MacBooks Pro, the designer worked with no less than 3,732 parts for the 14-inch model and 3,706 for the 16-inch model. Although he took advantage of the design of parts already worked for the MacBooks Pro with an M1 chip, all of them needed some kind of adjustment – hundreds of them, in fact, had to be completely redesigned.

For this work, he used iFixit images and screenshots of Max Tech’s teardowns as a basis, but also benefited greatly from Apple’s recently released repair guides for the service. Self Service Repairwhich provided more angles and close-ups that helped make designs more detailed and accurate.

Wallpapers featuring the MacBook Pro (M2) layouts are available in six color variations: M2 Pro, M2 Max, midnight, night mode (inspirado no Apple Watch Ultra), golden e tropical. Since they are quite similar, they can also be accurately used in last year’s MacBooks.
