A Colt brand pistol, six 45-caliber cartridges, five fired and one unfired, as well as a firearm charger, were seized at the site.
An alleged member of the Colombian Armed Drug Trafficking Terrorists (Tancol) was killed by military personnel attached to the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB); An event that occurred this Monday night in the Las Batallas sector, Caroní municipality.
According to the information published by the institution, it was a legal intervention carried out in the Caroní municipality. LThe uniformed officers carried out patrolling tasks in the aforementioned area, where they found “el Albert”, a member of the “El Congo” bank.
The GNB reported that the man was engaged in robbery, theft, extortion and kidnapping, which is why he kept the inhabitants of Las Batallas in anxiety.
The following evidence was seized at the site: a Colt pistol, model M1911, caliber 45, serial 2656529; and six cartridges of the same diameter – five fired and one unfired. In addition, they collected a firearm magazine.
Said procedure was presented before the Public Ministry.
Deployment
The Brigadier General of the GNB, Rafael Hernández Aguirre, designated that the uniformed commissions remain deployed in the vulnerable areas of the municipality to find accused citizens and members of Tancol groups. The Guayana Strategic Integral Defense Region (Redi) has carried out the same work through joint operations.
Within the framework of this situation, this Monday morning, Hernández Aguirre presided over the list control formation and part of the military personnel. They were oriented on the fundamental pillars of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (Fanb), the welfare of the personnel and the new command guidelines.
