Stock prices closed lower in today’s session at the Athens Stock Exchange despite the initial rise based on the upgrade of the Greek economy by Moody’s on Friday.
The market at the Athens Stock Exchange did not manage to continue the upward reaction of the two previous meetings, amid a bearish climate in the European markets.
The shares of PPC, Alpha Bank, EYDAP and OTE stood out from the high capitalization. The General Price Index closed at 1,251.66 points, down 0.55%.
Intra-session recorded a higher price at 1,267.53 units (+.071%) and a lower price at 1,249.53 units (-0.72%
The value of the transactions amounted to 106.35 million euros, of which 40.6 million euros related to pre-agreed transactions, while 40,496,483 shares were traded.
The large-cap index fell 0.36%, while the mid-cap index fell 1.09%.
Of the high capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of PPC (+2.25%), Alpha Bank (+1.92%), EYDAP (+1.50%), OTE (+1, 29%) and Piraeus (+0.95%).
On the contrary, the biggest fall was recorded by the shares of Coca Cola HBC (-2.96%), Titan (-2.71%), Jumbo (-2.24%), ELPE (-2.24%) and of Elvalhalcor (-1.64%).
Of the individual indices, the largest increase was recorded by the indices of Utilities (+1.33%) and Telecommunications (+1.28%), while the largest losses were recorded by the indices of Food (-2.92%) and of Trade (-2.46%).
The largest volume of transactions was presented by Eurobank and Alpha Bank, trading 27,036,385 and 4,236,375 shares, respectively.
The highest value of transactions was recorded by Eurobank with 40.58 million euros and Mytilineos with 8.50 million euros.
29 stocks moved up, 63 fell and 23 remained stable.
The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Mathios Pyrimaha +16.81% and Interlife +6.37%.
The biggest drop was registered by the shares: Alumyl -22.69% and Frigoglass -6.25%.
