Dow futures jump more than 100 points, helped by falling oil prices. This will help ease concerns regarding inflation.

However, trading is expected to be light today. While investors are eyeing the Federal Reserve’s (Fed) monetary policy meeting on March 15-16, it is the second meeting of this year.

Fed Chairman Jerome Powell has signaled that the Fed will raise interest rates by 0.25% this month, not as severe as some analysts had expected a 0.50% increase.

If the Fed raises interest rates this week as expected. It will be the Fed’s first rate hike since 2018.
