Douglas Rico confirmed the arrest of the mother and grandparents of little Mildred Mesa

Indeed, the mother and maternal grandparents of the girl Mildred Aleidys Mesa Yatare, aged one year and 11 months, whose body was found by the authorities following being reported missing for more than 10 days, are in custody and at the disposal of the Public Ministry.

This was reported this Thursday night and through his account on the social network Instagram, the director of the Cicpc, Douglas Rico, who reported that the little girl was reported as a missing person on August 19, in the Cortadora farmhouse, sector Mosquito net, Tocuyito parish, Libertador municipality, Carabobo state.

At the time she went missing, Rico reports, the minor was in the care of her grandfather, whom she identified as Guillermo Mesa. At least that was what her mother reported, whom she identified as Mariangel Mesa Yatare.

They found signs of sexual abuse

Rico explained that, for several days, a commission from the Coordination of Investigations of Crimes Against People Tocuyito carried out field work in the sector where the little girl was “lost”. However, the aforementioned and the girl’s grandmother, who he identified as Aleida Yatare, had a suspicious attitude.

“They tried to stop the officials from visiting the area where the event occurred, causing the detectives to carry out other analyzes on the spot. This made it possible to locate the remains of Mildred, on August 30, on the shores of the Cachinche reservoir.

When performing the corresponding autopsy, it was determined that the little girl had recent and old signs of sexual abuse, as well as a skull fracture. Similarly, it was determined that the place where the event occurred was the village where she had been reported missing, following having been savagely beaten.

Those involved were arrested in the Tocuyito parish, Libertador municipality, Carabobo state. The three are at the disposal of the 20th Prosecutor of the Public Ministry of Carabobo state.
