Weekends abound in traffic accidents, and this long weekend of May 1st was no exception, with a serious crash on General Paz Avenue. It was at the height of Zapiola, in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Saavedra, and the impact was so violent that both vehicles ended up overturned. The outgoing news regarding that event came a couple of hours later, when the City Police indicated that the driver of one of the vehicles involved gave 1.96gr/l of alcohol in his blood, an amount that quadrupled the level of 0.5gr/l that the law allows for drivers of private cars.

as stated a Peugeot 208 impacted a Nissan March, which was serving the Keko application and one of the drivers, a 29-year-old Colombian national, was referred to the Pirovano Hospital, where he was detained following having given 1.96 grams of alcohol for each liter of blood. Meanwhile, the other driver was able to get out of the vehicle by his own means, was unharmed and held a dialogue with the uniformed officers.

The rapid operation of the police, SAME and firefighters ordered the situation for the transfer of the injured, remove the cars from the place and order the traffic that suffered, logically, a big traffic jam in the hand to Riachuelo.

Police personnel from the City of Buenos Aires blocked two lanes of General Paz, and as reported by SAME personnel, they had bruises on various parts of their bodies, but they did not put their lives at risk.
