Double murder in Kraainem: a 3rd suspect is in prison!

A third suspect has been placed under arrest warrant in the investigation into the double murder of Magali W., 46, and her 17-year-old daughter, Coline, on March 24 in Kraainem, the Hal prosecutor’s office said on Tuesday. -Vilvoorde. He is a 36-year-old man living in Libin. He would have put in contact the two other suspects, Pierre D. and BN. Pierre D. is the former companion and father-in-law of the victims and BN, a 39-year-old Congolese living in Brussels. The latter is suspected of having killed the victims at the request of the former.

This Tuesday morning, we learned that the lawyers of the two men placed under arrest warrant (Pierre D. and BN) asked for a postponement of the hearing. The case will be heard on September 13. The two suspects are Peter D.the ex-partner and father-in-law of the two victims, and BN, a 39-year-old man of Congolese nationality from Brussels, who is suspected of having killed the victims on the orders of Pierre D.

The lifeless bodies of Magali W. and Coline were discovered on March 24 in Kraainem, in the accommodation they shared with Pierre D. The relationship he had had with Magali W. for several years had come to an end. Magali W. allegedly asked D. several times to find other accommodation. D., to the great frustration of his ex-spouse, however, would not have done much to achieve this.

It was Pierre D., himself, who alerted the emergency services the evening of the facts when he discovered a pool of blood in the entrance hall of the home. They discovered the lifeless bodies of the two victims who had succumbed to several stab wounds, according to well-informed sources, “with a violence rarely seen”. The vehicle of Magali W., a teacher in a school in Anderlecht, as well as the mobile phones of the two victims had disappeared. Despite this, there is nothing to suggest that it was a burglary, said the prosecution.

Some elements suggested that the two victims had already been killed on the night of March 23 to 24. Coline did not show up at her school on Thursday, the Don Bosco Institute in Woluwe-Saint-Pierre. Neighbors had also heard a loud argument in the family home around 2 a.m. Wednesday night into Thursday.

After the discovery of the double assassination, Pierre D. was directly suspected and arrested. He denied the facts and said he had spent the night with a friend in Etterbeek. The friend in question confirmed his presence during two interrogations.

On March 27, three days following the events, the Hal-Vilvoorde prosecutor’s office had broadcast a search message for Magali W’s missing vehicle, a gray Škoda Roomster. This vehicle was found shortly following avenue des Deux Tilleuls, in Woluwe-Saint-Lambert. The investigators were therefore looking for surveillance images of this district, and of the journey between this place and the district of Etterbeek where the friend lives with whom D. says he spent the night.

This appeal gave partial results and a few weeks later a second appeal was launched, for a possible witness, a man who was on avenue des Deux Tilleuls when the victim’s vehicle was left there. It is not known if the man has since been found or if he has come forward.

The indictment chamber released Pierre D. on May 5, although it had clues that might incriminate him, but these were not serious enough to keep him in pre-trial detention, according to the prosecution.

D. was imprisoned once more on September 2, as was BN
