Just two days following announcing its signing, Doritos has decided to dispense with the services of Samantha Hudson due to some publications she made on the social network Twitter in 2015. The snack brand owned by the company Pepsi & Co had decided that the activist in favor of the rights of LGTBI people was its ambassador and, in addition, she had starred in a 50-second campaign that had seen the light of day on the company’s social networks.
Nothing remains of that advertisement. Doritos has removed it following receiving many boycott threats from social media users. Furthermore, the brand has confirmed to ‘Rolling Stones’ magazine that they have no intention of maintaining any type of contractual relationship with Hudson.

Tweets de Samantha Hudson
The tweets in question have inappropriate and offensive content, although the protagonist has explained in a statement that he wrote them “in a context where the general trend of social networks was to make the most brutal and exorbitant black humor possible.” Even so, he already apologized for them a few years ago and has done so once more, calling them “disgusting, offensive and totally out of place.”
In a statement in which he explained his version of the events, Hudson regretted “the countless violent messages, threats, disqualifications and very serious accusations” that he has received in recent days. “I would like to clarify that I did not write them seriously, but rather trying to ironize the most extreme positioning and opposite to the ethically and morally correct position regarding these issues. “I don’t think like that and I didn’t think like that then.” In the same way, Samantha has stressed that one of the tweets attributed to her is false as it is dated 2014 and the account was not created until 2015.

“Although the rest of the publications are real and their content is negligible, I believe that this manipulated post is being used to generate a perverse story that accuses me of pedophilia. It is not the first time that someone from the group has been accused of something like this. That’s why it doesn’t surprise me, much less seeing how the majority of media outlets that have covered it also attack my gender identity or my physical appearance,” he continued.
Finally, Samantha, without wanting to stop taking responsibility for the content of her messages, has confessed how “unfair” she finds the public trial she is receiving for some tweets she wrote nine years ago as a minor. “I refuse to let some tweets from 2015 be decontextualized and overstated and I firmly position myself once morest this public ridicule with a clear ideological tendency and which also has the sole intention of insulting me, defaming me, destroying my reputation and intimidating me,” he concluded. .
