Doosan Group donates KRW 500 million to support forest fire damage recovery

[투데이에너지 김병욱 기자] Doosan Group (Chairman Park Jung-won) announced on the 6th that it would donate 500 million won to the National Disaster Relief Association to help recover the damage in Gangwon and Gyeongbuk regions that were damaged by large-scale forest fires and to support the victims.

This donation will be used for providing daily necessities for the victims, operating evacuation facilities, and restoring damage.

A Doosan official said, “We hope that it will be of some help to the local residents who have been affected by the sudden forest fire to quickly recover their daily lives.”

Doosan has provided support for each disaster situation, such as donating funds to overcome the corona virus in 2020, supporting recovery from the forest fire in Gangwon in 2019, and supporting recovery from the earthquake in Pohang in 2017. It has been providing donations and recovery equipment to disasters such as earthquakes and typhoons not only in Korea but also overseas such as the United States, Indonesia, Haiti, China, and the Philippines.
