Doodle art everywhere, including the bedsheet, stairs and washroom; Artist’s home goes viral

Kent artist Sam Cox is known as Mr Doodle. It took him two years to fill his house with doodles. Homecoming was on October 2. The Doodle House is worth 1.35 million pounds (regarding 12.5 crores) and has 12 rooms. Stove tops, bedsheets, staircases, washrooms, and every inch of white wall in the house are covered in streaks. It might sound boring to most of us, but that’s the world Cox lives in right now.

At just 28 years old, Sam Cox has 2.7M Instagram followers. He majored in painting from the University of the West of England. In 2017, the “Mr. Doodle Pop-Up Shop” was launched. It was in this show that he established himself as the “Doodle Man”.

Through his Twitter handle, Cox shared a picture of himself and his wife, Alina, from their bedroom doodle. Interestingly, the couple also wore clothes with doodles on them. “So happy and excited to finally doodle my house. I created the stop motion film myself, it contains 1857 photographs, the doodles are real, it’s not CGI. We now live in a totally doodled world,” Mr. Doodle tweeted along with the image.

A two-minute stop-motion video with 1857 images shows the artist painting throughout his home over a two-year process. Cox claimed to have used 2296 pen nibs, 401 cans of black spray paint, 286 bottles of black drawing paint and 900 liters of white paint. He has also made a conscious effort to reduce waste by using four different sized pens with replaceable nibs.

Cox says the previous owners repeatedly urged him to refrain from doodling the entire property. But Sam Cox ignored their pleas. Sam Cox wants to live permanently in the Doodle House with his wife Alaina, aka Mrs. Doodle, and their dog Doodle.
