Don’t let oil, grease or blood stains ruin your clothes, try these tips – Life & Style

Stubborn stains can ruin any fabric, but some common household items can have the power to fight them.

Removing oil and grease stains from clothes is difficult, but not impossible. Apply a small amount of laundry detergent to the stain and wash according to the tag instructions, or try a combination of dish soap and white vinegar to remove stubborn stains.

There is also a method described below that only requires dish soap and baking soda. And remember, time is of the essence when it comes to oils and fats. So remove the stain as soon as it occurs.

First apply a few drops of stain remover soap to remove any stains from the clothes. Rub the soap with clean fingers until the detergent completely coats the stain.

Next, apply a tablespoon of baking soda to the soap and scrub it into the cloth for two minutes. You can also use a soft bristle toothbrush for this.

Once the mixture becomes a paste, leave the solution and the cloth for an hour. Rinse the garment in the sink and then machine wash.

The same mixture can also be used to remove grass stains from clothes.
