‘Don’t give the impression of holding a grudge’: E. Chandrasekaran criticizes Kanam Rajendran

Thiruvananthapuram – Assistant Secretary E. Chandrasekaran criticized the state secretary Kanam Rajendran in the CPI state executive. E.Chandrasekaran said that the antagonist should not behave intelligently and should not have the feeling of holding a grudge against those who criticize him. Action is taken against those who criticize the official leadership in party meetings. This will not benefit the party. E. Chandrasekaran said that the party will be in crisis if it continues in this way.

The criticism came when the actions against Pathanamthitta District Secretary AP Jayan and Idukki District Secretary KK Sivaraman were discussed. An investigation was announced against A.P. Jayan on the complaint of illegal acquisition of property. The district council sought an explanation from Sivaraman for not informing the state leadership about the purchase of the car. The executive appointed a four-member commission to investigate A.P. Jayan. KK Ashraf, R. Rajendran, CK Sasidharan and P. Vasantham are members of the commission.

Earlier, state executive member KK Ashraf had conducted a preliminary investigation on the complaint of Srinadevi Kunjamma, a member of the Zilla Panchayat. It was decided to conduct a detailed investigation after finding that there was substance in the complaint of illegal acquisition of property. The complaint is that three lakh rupees have been demanded for giving a seat in the district panchayat. It was also pointed out in the complaint that A.P. Jayan started the dairy farm in a short period of time as part of the illegal acquisition of property.
