The head of the Buenos Aires Government, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta, closed the second day of the Llao Llao Forum in Bariloche and in his presentation he sought to differentiate himself from his competitors in the race for the presidency, Patricia Bullrich and Javier Milei.

“Don’t count on me for pointless bravado. What remains for a reality show“, said Rodríguez Larreta before the main businessmen of the country and added:” I am here to lead a real and lasting change, not for inconclusive bravado.

The presidential candidate arrived at the Llao Llao hotel minutes before 9:00 p.m., stated the newspaper La Nación, and “stayed in the presidential suite (the night before, that room had been occupied by Bullrich, his rival within Together for Change) ».

“I come to speak to you only with the truth. You know I’m not a great speaker and some even say I’m not even charismatic. But I come to speak to the bone, head-on and with the experience and security of someone who has known the State for 30 years and who knows that magic solutions do not exist. If we are serious, we all know that inflation is not solved with a slogan, nor is the economy stabilized with a single measure. We attack complex problems only with complex solutions”, he stated.

He also referred to Bullrich: “Those who want to install that I want a half change, are lying to their faces. I am the first to say it: the change has to be profound. But there are ways to do it. If we want to impose it by punching, shouting, with aggression, the chances of achieving it are zero. Not only because we already tried it and it didn’t work, but also because this country is republican and the reforms have to go through Congress.

He considered that agreements are needed: «This path, that of agreement, It will be more difficult, but I know we have chances. That is my way of working and over the years I verified it. I’m here to lead real and lasting change, don’t count on me for mindless bravado. What is left for a reality show ”.

He said that his goal is to end the deficit to achieve fiscal balance. “This implies lowering public spending and reviewing the budget of all state agencies line by line. It is urgent to do it because the anchor is fiscal”, he stated.

Finally, he pointed out: «It is not a novelty that taking Argentina forward is very difficult, if not someone would have already done it. My predisposition is absolute. I want to lead the generation of 23, and I want it to be recognized by the history books and not by immediate approval or by the results of the next election. We have to be more ambitious.”
