A donkey named Max, also known as Gadharaj, became the first contestant to be eliminated from Bigg Boss 18.

According to Indian media reports, he was removed from the reality show after animal welfare organizations appealed to the producers. Earlier, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) urged Salman Khan and the filmmakers to keep the donkey out, citing public concern.

In a statement released on social media, PPFA thanked the People for Animals Chairperson Ms. Manika Sanjay Gandhi for intervening in the matter. This success was made possible by the collective efforts of all the people of the community who stood up for the release of the donkey.

The statement also said, “We are happy to inform you that the Bigg Boss team has informed us that they have released the donkey.” This achievement is the result of the collective efforts of everyone who supported and joined the cause.

Earlier, PETA India team had sent a letter to Salman Khan in October. According to the letter sent, he requested Salman Khan to urge producers to avoid using animals as weapons for entertainment.

Part of the letter requested that the donkey named Max be handed over to PETA India so that he can be returned to a safe haven with other donkeys.

Bigg Boss Season 18 is going on air from this month, hosted by Salman Khan.
