Doncic and Hardaway lead Mavs to 127-125 victory over Lakers

DALLAS (AP) — Luka Doncic had 33 points and 17 assists, Tim Hardaway Jr. scored a season-high 32 points and the Dallas Mavericks beat the Los Angeles Lakers 127-125 on Tuesday.

The Los Angeles team fell in its first match since being crowned in the first edition of the In-Season tournament.

Anthony Davis finished with 37 points and 11 rebounds, while LeBron James had 33 points, nine assists and eight boards for the Lakers, who saw their four-game winning streak snapped, the best they have had this season.

Los Angeles erased a 15-point deficit early in the third quarter, setting the stage for an entertaining finish.

Dante Exum scored his best of the season, with 26 points, hitting seven three-pointers in nine attempts. He made five of seven of those shots in the fourth quarter as the Mavs held on to the lead. Austin Reaves added 22 points for the Lakers.
