After the earthquake on February 6, 2023, which deeply affected 10 provinces in Turkey and experienced many losses, shelter has become the most important need. In this context, for the container city whose construction continues rapidly, where the name of the Champion Angels who lost their lives in the earthquake in our country will be kept alive. Mevhibe & Mustafa Başman Foundationsignificant contribution was made. Cyprus via the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce A donation of 250,000 TL was made to the Turkish Solidarity Platform for the construction of 4 21′ container houses.
Pınar Başman Süren, President of Mevhibe & Mustafa Başman Foundation, made a statement regarding the donation; He stated that the losses suffered in the earthquake both in our country and in Turkey deeply sadden them like everyone else, and he wished a speedy recovery to the injured, and God’s mercy and patience to those who lost their loved ones. Being aware that it is our responsibility to heal the wounds of earthquake victims on their journey by saying “We are stronger by sharing”, the officials of the Foundation stated that they are pleased to take part in this sensitive project that will support the sheltering problems of the earthquake victims, as the Başman Group Of Companies family and as Foundation donors. He also stated that while they are trying to support earthquake victims in terms of employment within Başman Group of Companies, they will continue to make serious contributions with the donation campaigns they will initiate in the coming days for the improvement of schools, hospitals or social areas affiliated with our State.
The Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Commerce Management thanked the Mevhibe & Mustafa Başman Foundation management and donors for this meaningful and sensitive donation.
