Donald Trump’s Twitter account has been reactivated Saturday after a survey by Elon Musk, new owner of the blue bird social network, among users. And in less than 24 hours, the number of subscribers to the former President’s account skyrocketed. Sunday evening, 86.4 million people were already following Donald Trump again. The Republican has not yet posted anything (even if his profile already links to a site offering to participate financially in his campaign for the 2024 presidential election).
But during the day on Sunday, many Internet users reported that they were now following Donald Trump’s account, when they had not subscribed to it themselves. “How did I start following Trump? I never followed him, and I just found out I was following him“, remarked a Twitter user, before others testified to having suffered the same fate. while some explain that they were already following the former head of state before his account was deleted, others claim to have never followed his profile.
