Donald Trump arrived at court in New York on Tuesday to appear before charges once morest him for bribing an adult film actress, in the first criminal indictment once morest a former president of the United States (USA) in history.

Before the arraignment took place, Trump had been placed under arrest and in police custody.

The former head of state turned himself in to the Manhattan Prosecutor’s Office to read the more than 30 charges for which he has been charged in connection with the payment to actress Stormy Daniels.

The former president first went through the headquarters of the Prosecutor’s Office, in an operation that includes taking fingerprints and front and profile photography, before appearing before the judge.

He arrived at Manhattan Criminal Court to defend himself once morest an indictment by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg. A strong police presence was deployed in the immediate vicinity of the site.

Local media reported that Trump later pleaded not guilty to the 34 charges once morest him before the judge.

In addition, the former president’s defense expressed that he expected the appearance to be “standard and business.” Trump was then released and left the court.

On March 30, a New York grand jury voted to indict Trump in a case related to allegedly paying Daniels silence money during the 2016 presidential campaign regarding an extramarital affair.
