“Buy L size pizza and get 2 S size pizzas for free!” Campaign
Domino’s Pizza Japan is running a campaign from June 19th to 25th, “If you buy a L-size pizza, you get 2 S-size pizzas for free!”
As the name suggests, the campaign offers two free S size pizzas when you order a L size (or New Yorker pizza). For example, if you order “Quattro 2 Happy” L size (4,060 yen), “American” S size (2,290 yen), and “Margherita” S size (2,370 yen) by delivery, it usually costs 8,720 yen. However, in this campaign, two S size sheets are free, so you can purchase them for 4060 yen, which is less than half the price.
The company launched a similar campaign on June 23, 2018, but there were problems such as a rush of orders and some stores stopping accepting orders. After that, the system was put in place, and the same campaigns as in July, October, and January have been carried out without any problems.
In addition, when the campaign was implemented, there were situations where the work of the store crew might not keep up, and users who saw this asked, “Does the headquarters understand the difficulty of the store?” Therefore, this time, the initiative “GO GEMBA!” will be implemented on June 22, in which all the staff on the headquarters side will go to the store and support pizza making.
The company’s CEO Martin Steenks and other executives also participated in the initiative. Each store has its own original decorations.
