Dominican counselor who was kidnapped in Haiti arrived in the DR in “good health”

At approximately 10:00 this Thursday morning, the counselor of the Dominican embassy in Haiti, Carlitin Guillén Tatis, arrived in Dominican territory, was kidnapped for four days in Haiti and was released yesterday.

Authorities at La Isabela International Airport informed reporters that Guillén Tatis “He arrived safely and in good health.”

They also detailed that would go to the Foreign Ministry

Guillen Tatis was reported missing since Friday, April 29 by his relatives, who affirmed that the last thing they knew regarding the counselor was that he was traveling by road from Port-au-Prince to the Dominican Republic.

Yesterday the Chancellor of the Republic, Robert Alvarez, announced via Twitter that the Dominican counselor was released without giving details of the kidnapping or the circumstances of his release.

“Fortunately, Carlitin Guillén Tatis, advisor to the Dominican embassy in Haiti, has been released safe and sound, following four days of kidnapping. We thank all those who actively participated in his release,” the foreign minister wrote.
