Dominican actor Andrés García died at the age of 81

The life of one of the most beloved actors in Mexico and all of Latin America went out on the followingnoon of this Tuesday, April 4, 2023. This is the Dominican-Mexican Andrés García, known for the infinity of films, novels, series and even plays in which he starred, His forte being the seventh art, in which he began at the end of the 60s and where he participated in different productions attached to the Mexican film genre “de ficheras”.

The journalist Gustavo Adolfo Infante, a great friend of the actor, was one of those who confirmed the news of the death of García, who had been struggling with various ailments for several months, his main illness being cirrhosis of the liver diagnosed in the middle of last year, which he suffered until his last days when, according to his wife Margarita Portillo, he did not eat much and had to be assisted to walk and mobilize.

One of the last crises that García had was due to a fall he suffered at his residence in Acapulco. After this impasse, the actor suffered serious injuries to his arm and leg, which triggered other ills that had already been occurring to a lesser extent, given the serious health condition that the Mexican interpreter had.

On the other hand, García faced stabbing pain in his back, a product of his spine in poor condition, an ailment that he suffered for more than 4 decades. and that they finally had a solution between 2014, when four vertebrae were filled, and 2016, the year in which they finally put 10 nails and two titanium plates in a high-risk surgery, as published by the newspaper The financial at the time.

In addition to all this, García also suffered from osteoarthritis and fibromyalgia given his advanced age, which also added further deterioration to the appearance and functioning of his body, which little by little deteriorated further until he ended up extremely thin and with purplish spots on his his skin, as seen in one of the last videos made by the actor, where he sends a strong message to young people to moderate their alcohol consumption.

His personal life was also cut short as was his health. Andrés was married four times and had three children with two of his wives: Andrés Jr., Leonardo and Andrea, who are said to have had almost no relationship with the actor.Well, he confessed in several interviews that his offspring didn’t care regarding him, that’s why he didn’t want to see them once more. However, his wife, Margarita, would have managed to call them to make peace with the actor, since García’s state of health deteriorated greatly throughout March.

In García’s repertoire there were more than 60 films and an infinity of novels that gave him the label of television heartthrob, given his body with large shoulders and breasts and a tan worthy of a Dominican boatman, how was he recently arrived in Acapulco.
