Dominic Smith: ‘Prince Charming’ finalist dies aged 33
In the first season of the RTL dome show he fought for Nicolas Puschmann’s heart, now his heart stopped beating. Dominic Smith is dead, his best friend has confirmed.
The German reality TV world mourns: Dominic Smith gained notoriety with his participation in the first season of “Prince Charming”. He has now passed away at the age of just 33. This is confirmed, among other things, by his former best friend Martin Angelo with emotional words on Instagram.
“I’m writing this text with tears in my eyes and it breaks my heart because I just can’t believe that our paths will never cross once more,” writes the 28-year-old to a black and white photo of himself and Dominic on his Instagram -Story. “No one understood me like you did and I don’t think anyone understood you like I did and that’s what made our bond so special. I just don’t have the words to really describe how I really feel but what I can say is that from the bottom of my heart I wish for you to find peace where you are right now.”
The two men met in 2019 at the dome show, where they competed for Nicolas Puschmann’s (31) heart. Just a year later, they took part in the first season of “Couple Challenge” as BBFs. Then the contact between the two broke off. “There is no bad blood. But sometimes you just let the beautiful moments live on with a person in your heart instead of in life, »said Martin in his Instagram story at the time. Still, Dominic seems to have held a big place in his heart.
His colleagues share messages of condolence
Other “Prince Charming” colleagues also share their sympathy on the social media platform. «I will carry you around the earth in my heart! Your dandelion,” wrote Aaron Koenigs (27). Sam Dylan, who also starred in the dome show, commented: “I just can’t believe it, I will always remember you for who you were. A lovable, dreamy man who was always looking for great happiness. I hope you find that happiness up there above us in eternity.”
In the summer of last year, Dominic reported to his followers that he was withdrawing from social media. The reason: he is “not really doing well”. Last month he returned to Instagram and gave his fans an update: “I’m looking ahead and not giving up.” The exact cause of Dominic Smith’s death is not yet known.
