The 29-year-old rapper was sentenced to three years in prison on Friday, July 5. Moha La Squale was accused of domestic violence, kidnapping and death threats by six former partners.

On Friday, July 5, the decision was made. Rapper Moha La Squale was sentenced to three years in prison and one year suspended for domestic violence, kidnapping and death threats once morest six ex-partners. The criminal court ordered the artist’s continued detention.

Moha La Squale, whose real name is Mohamed Bellahmed, had already been in detention for 17 months. He will have to undergo psychological monitoring and treat his cannabis addiction, as decided by the magistrates. The rapper was also banned from having any contact with the six young women who accused him of physical and psychological violence.

The singer of “Bendero” will have to compensate them for their moral damages in amounts ranging from 2,500 to 10,000 euros each.

A man with a “two face”

Yesterday, the prosecution had requested a six-year prison sentence, two of which were suspended, once morest the defendant. Moha La Squale had been described as a “two-faced” man who “does not question himself”. The rapper had constantly repeated that his accusers were lying and said he was the victim of a “conspiracy” – while apologizing for having “hurt them”.

According to his lawyer, Me Elise Arfi, Mohamed Bellahmed should not appeal this judgment. She welcomes a “balanced” and “intelligent” decision and already plans to provide “support” for the young man. For their part, the plaintiffs have expressed their satisfaction through their lawyers.

“I feel like I’ve been heard, I hope to turn the page and feel better,” said one of them, following bursting into tears during the deliberations.
