Dollar today in Colombia already exceeds $4,700 – Financial Sector – Economy

The price of the dollar began this Tuesday, above $4,685 on average, an increase of almost 50 pesos ($49) over the highest Representative Market Rate (TRM) in the country.

The North American currency with which for today’s session stands at $4,636.83, maintains an average of $4,728.99 and a minimum price of $4,665.20.

The North American currency has already exceeded the barrier of $4,700, since the maximum price registered in the first hours of trading con  $4.714,00

For the day on Monday, the dollar reached its historical maximum in the intraday, reaching $4,727, a worrying sign for experts and investors.

Reaching $4,737.00 during trading breaks another record for the coin and now the highest record is in $4.761,70

The combination of economic, international and local geopolitical factors have caused the dollar in Colombia to record new highs

During 2022 the dollar in Colombia has risen around $700, in the midst of the scenario of a possible global economic recession that could affect Colombia, the almost certain rise in interest rates in the United States to combat inflation and the persistent war in Ukraine that affects the prices of various inputs remain the main factors of the international situation for the dollar market.
