MEXICO CITY.— This Wednesday, the Mexican currency in the international markets opens in 18.29 pesos per dollarwhich means a depreciation of 1.1% or 20 cents compared to the previous day, its biggest loss since June 11, according to Bloomberg information.

The dollar index, which compares the performance of the US currency against the other six major currencies in the world, opened with an appreciation of 0.37%. The euro fell 0.32% against the greenback, while the pound lost 0.28%.

This Wednesday, June 26, 2024, the price of the dollar in Mexico opened the retail day with a Maximum sale price of 19.1939 pesos per dollar.

According to information from various banking institutions, at the opening, the US dollar is selling today for up to 19.1939 pesos in branches of the Bank of America, while the maximum purchase value is 17.57 pesos at the windows of the CitiBanamex bank.
