On the TikTok social network, content creators earn huge sums of money by acting like video game characters.
For several weeks, TikTokeurs have stood out for their surprising behaviors live. Indeed, they adopt an unusual attitude, comparable to that of a non-player character in video games (NPC).
Two Tiktokeuses have become real freaks by adopting this behavior: CherryCrush and PinkyDoll. They film themselves in front of the camera and repeat short sentences with a robotic voice, like characters in video games who repeat the same thing as soon as you call out to them.
As soon as a user makes a donation to one of the two influencers, she repeats a sentence related to food using a childish voice. According to Numérama journalists, this phenomenon is comparable to what can be found on camgirl sites.
On these sites, the user in question sends money to a camgirl and the latter performs an action that is expected. On CherryCrush and PinkyDoll’s TikTok lives, the principle is therefore the same. The latter can earn up to 2,500 euros per live.
